Planning a project near trees in Surrey?
Check the requirements for your site before commissioning a report. Send us the property address, proposed drawings and any correspondence from the planning authority so we can review what is needed.
Tree-related information can be relevant to more than a new building or extension. For example, Guildford Borough Council’s published guidance includes applications for driveways, patios, drains and other utilities where trees are on or overhanging the site, or would be affected by the work.
Its guidance sets out requirements for an Arboricultural Impact Assessment, Method Statement and Tree Protection Plan. This is guidance for Guildford; the requirements for your own application should be checked with the relevant authority.

If you are unsure which council covers the property, you can find the local council using the site postcode.
Arranging a survey in Surrey
Enquiries are welcome for sites across the county, including Guildford, Woking, Farnham, Weybridge, Esher and Reigate, as well as surrounding villages and rural properties.
For larger sites, tell us whether you need all trees inspected or particular trees assessed. Existing tree schedules, plans and previous reports can help us understand the work involved.
You do not need to live in Surrey to commission a survey for a property here. We can agree access arrangements with you or your appointed site contact.
Projects elsewhere can also be considered.
